Once you've tasted this milk chocolate bar, you'll never want another! The cocoa in this Grand Cru chocolate Costa Rica 40% comes from Finca la Amistad located in the north of the country. The cocoa plantation covers 95 hectares, 20% of which is native rainforest. Costa Rica is at the forefront of natural resource conservation. Previously, the country also logged huge amounts of rainforest. Government intervention has restored much of the rainforest through replanting, so that half the country includes rainforest again.
The diverse and thriving ecosystem provides the perfect conditions for growing sustainable cocoa trees. Swiss couple Ruth and Ernst Brugger own the cacao farm. They have been engaged in planting sustainable and top quality cocoa trees for almost 10 years. You can even spend the night there, so you find yourself in the middle of beautiful nature of Costa Rica.
Flavor Profile
A chocolate with this wonderful story, we wanted not only to use for our luxury chocolates, but also to include in our range in its purest form. This well-balanced exclusive milk chocolate bar is distinguished by a harmonious cocoa flavor complemented by a pleasant milk taste. Conching the chocolate for 36 hours releases delicate aromas. When you taste this chocolate bar, you experience the flavor of caramelized almonds rounded out by a mild honey flavor. The sensory adventure of this milk chocolate bar ends with a hint of sweet, ripe banana. A chocolate bar we are proud of at our chocolate shop in Tilburg!
